At The Mix Youth Café, our main priority is the safety of young people attending our services. In order for us to maintain the highest possible levels of protection, we need all parents/ carers/ guardians to complete and sign a confidential medical infomation form. These forms can either be collected from the Youth Cafe or downloaded below.
As a Community-Interest-Company, we ensure all our employees are DBS checked, have up-to-date First Aid training and are fully aware of our Child Protection and Safeguarding Policies. Our Lead Workers are fully qualified and experienced Youth and Community workers.
Alongside this, we are aiming to build up records of emergency contact numbers and relevant information on all our young people, together with details of any medical/non-medical conditions, medications, allergies or any other problems or issues they may be experiencing. If you prefer, you can contact us privately to discuss any concerns.
The Mix Crosby CIC undertakes its responsibilities seriously with regard to the protection of children and young people and will respond to concerns appropriately. This is a priority for the organisation and we are all responsible for reporting concerns. All staff, directors, volunteers and associates understands their obligations and duty to implement each aspect of this policy and the associated procedures when required. All staff and volunteers undertake regular safeguarding training and have DBS Checks (Police check through the Disclosure and Barring Service). The_Mix_Crosby_safeguarding_children_policy.pdf279.35 KB
