Receive Awards At The 2019 Sefton's Shining Stars Presentations The Awards Ceremony, run by CVS's Young Advisers' Team, was held at Bootle Town Hall on Tuesday, 3rd December following nominations by their Youth Workers, Sue O'Connor and Mel James-Henry.
Felicity was nominated for all her fundraising work for The Mix Youth Café. She helped raise over £250.00 at the recent fundraising Band Night in Stamps and will be helping at The Mix's *Second Band Night to he held at The Cavern Club, Liverpool, on Monday, 9th December.
Steven was nominated for his community spirit and entertaining personality. He gives up his time to sing and play guitar at The Mix Youth Café every Friday evening. Steven will soon commence his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award and guitar will be his chosen hobby for the Skills Section. Steven revealed this was his second Shining Star Award: he received one for Bravery at eight years of age when he saved his dad's life in a medical emergency by calling an ambulance and taking care of his little sister until help arrived.
